NYC’s most searched for nightclubs & lounges
We were curious about which NYC nightclubs get the most love on the search engines —so we got to work.
Using a handy tool provided by Google, we quickly pulled together a list of the most searched for clubs in NYC.

7. Webster Hall
8. The Box
10. Le Bain

15. Gold Bar
17. Le Baron
19. No 8
22. 230 Fifth

What We Noticed:
The Larger a Club is—More Searches it Gets
Pacha dominated the search engines with 69,640 searches per month—which is not surprising given Pacha’s large size and the massive volume of people that the club attracts. Searches for Pacha comprised 13.8% of the 503,750 monthly searches for NYC nightclubs.
Lavo was the next highest, with 7.1% of searches.
In addition to Pacha– other large clubs that did well were Lavo, Hudson Terrace, Marquee and Santos Party House.
The Less Exclusive a Club is, The More Searches it Gets
Of the 12 most searched for clubs, only Le Bain (exclusivity rating of 6) and The Box (exclusivity rating of 6) have somewhat difficult doors.
Pretty much anyone can gain entry to the other 12 clubs simply by buying a ticket in advance or paying cover at the door (even Lavo & Marquee offer ticket sales on certain nights—whereas other nights the door remains pretty tight at either of these clubs).
Using Google’s Adwords key word tool- we took a look all commonly used search terms for each nightclub and added them together. For example, in the case of Santos party house, it looks like this:
Santos Party House
Santos Party House NYC
Santos Party House NY
Santos Party House Dress Code
Santos House Party
Santos Party House New York
Total Santos Party House:
Why Some Clubs Were Excluded:
Some clubs were excluded because they did not generate significant search volume.
Additionally, because of the way Google’s Keyword tool works, none of the new clubs that have opened up recently (The Raven, Tao Downtown, VIP Room, Bar Nana, Stardust Lounge, etc.) showed much search volume either– so they too were excluded.
